Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Life can be full of painful thoughts, difficult emotions, and overwhelming stress. Often, our first instinct is to fight these feelings or try to force them away. Instead of spending your valuable energy fighting your inner battles, ACT helps you change your relationship with your struggles. ACT is about learning to live fully and deeply, even in the presence of life’s challenges. Together, we will work on building the psychological flexibility you need to stop feeling stuck and start moving forward toward a rich, purposeful life.

Through ACT, you will learn to:

  • Practice Acceptance: Drop the struggle with uncomfortable thoughts and feelings, learning to let them exist without letting them control you.

  • Stay Present: Use mindfulness tools to ground yourself in the current moment, rather than getting lost in past regrets or future anxieties.

  • Clarify Your Values: Identify what truly matters most to you.

  • Take Committed Action: Set meaningful goals and take real, daily steps toward building a life that reflects those values.
